During Your Evaluation

  1. You are encouraged to ask questions of your entire health care team while in the office – physician’s assistants, x-ray technicians, nurses or physical therapists. They can also provide helpful reference information, such as brochures or online educational resources, relating to your condition.
  2. During the evaluation with your doctor, please discuss any concerns or questions you have about your condition, even if you feel it may be of an embarrassing nature.
  3. Take notes on what the doctor tells you and please ask questions if you don’t understand the meaning of a word or instructions for taking medications.
  4. Ask what to expect from your treatment, what affect it will have on your daily activities and what you can do to prevent further issues.
